Greatness is not what you have, it’s what you give.

We know the charity is the noblest task that a man can do and we want to inculcate this virtue in a student’s life. PRESTIGE PU COLLEGE had organized a charity drive in connection with the Christmas celebration. The response from the students was astonishing. Our students contributed generously without any compulsion. We were able to collect a good quantity of personal hygiene and other needy things to the nearby orphan children. Our students visited the orphan home – Bagini Samaja at Jeppu on 5 January. Students interacted with them and spent some time. The kids were so thrilled when we handed over the things. It was a contented moment for all of us. It is not important how long we live, but it’s only important how effective we live. It does not matter how much we donate, it only matters whether the donations are meaningful.

Once again thank you all for your active participation in this “ JOY OF GIVING” Campaign.

Christmas Celebration at PRESTIGE

Christmas is the tenderness of the past, courage for the present, and hope for the future.

A little smile a word of cheer, a bit of love from someone near, a little gift from one held dear and the best wishes for the coming year.

It was a delightful afternoon, when on 22 November here in PRESTIGE PU COLLEGE, the staff and the management organised a surprise Christmas program for our dear students. A Christmas tree and a Santa Clause were set up to bring out the festivities of the season. The program was started with a prayer followed by welcome speech. Carol song also was played.

Then Santa made a grand entry and surprised the students. The delight was not restrained as Santa danced with them and gave them sweets. We had with us Ms Carol as a special guest and she threw light on the true essence of Christmas. She sung Christmas carol which enhances the joy of the students. Christmas cake and gift were distributed to the students.

With Santa Clause students had a blast participating with various games such as Bombing the City, lucky games and more. The staff also had a blast when the Institution had organised various games.

Our Principal wished everyone a Merry Christmas and enlightened the students by a speech about the festival. The spirit of Christmas is particularly unique for its giving nature. The main aim of Christmas is not only the celebration but also to spread cheer among people. It means to enjoy and to help others by caring and sharing with lots of love. She added donating one’s possessions can be a good way to spread the festivity.

Our students promised to donate generously the basic things needed in our daily chores like stationaries and toiletries to an Orphanage nearby. Thus the students gave a benevolent touch to the whole celebration by sharing their joy with the children who are in need.
